Do you miss using the Alphabet Navigation Bar in Engage? A Microsoft update has removed the Alphabet Navigation Bar feature, however, you can turn the feature on through Advanced Settings. Note; This feature can only be re-enabled manually one Entity at a time. Follow the instructions below to restore the Alphabet Navigation Bar.
1. Go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Select the dropdown arrow next to Settings > Select Customizations.
2. Select Customize the System.
3. Expand the Entities column by clicking the arrow. Find the entity you want to edit in the list. We will edit the Relationship entity for this example.
4. Select the Relationship entity and select the Controls tab. Here, you will see the current system controls. Select Power Apps Grid. If you do not see it under Control, click Add Control.
5. Select Power Apps grid control and select Add.
6. Enable Web, Phone, and Tablet access for Power Apps Grid control.
7. Under the Power Apps Grid, scroll through the Property options to the Enable jump bar row and select the Configure property button.
8. Select Yes from the dropdown options under bind to static options. Select Ok.
9. Select Save, Publish, and Save again. The Navigation Bar will now appear on the view for the entity you edited.
Note: The change is not system-wide and can only be done on a single entity at a time. If you would like this feature re-enabled system-wide, contact our Support team so we can submit a Microsoft support ticket on your behalf. Microsoft has the ability to re-enable the feature in bulk. Please keep in mind, if a Microsoft ticket is submitted on your behalf, it may take several days for changes to take effect.
