Add Attachments to a Task

In Engage, attachments can easily be added to Task Activities within the Activity details.  Attachments can be added to a Task using the Timeline component. The attachment tool on the Timeline only becomes accessible after the Task has been created. It is important to note that you cannot add an attachment through the Task's Quick Create form.

 

Leveraging attachments in Task Activities can help enhance collaboration, support informed decision-making, and improve overall workflow efficiency for your firm.

 

Note: Adding attachments to records in Engage counts toward your overall storage limit. As a result, this can impact your file capacity and will need to be monitored by System Administrators over time. Learn more about Storage Management here.


 Add Attachments to a Task

Here are the steps to attach a document to a Task:

   1. From a Relationship, go to Activities Plus and open the Task

  

   

   2. Once the Task is open, locate the Clip icon within the Timeline section.

 

   

   3. Select the Clip icon and add the document needed from your files.

   4. Once the document is attached, Save the Task.

The attachment is accessible in the Timeline section.
