What is Multifactor Authentication?
Multifactor authentication (MFA) means your users must provide more than one way to sign in to Engage, and it is one of the easiest ways to secure your business. Passwords are the most common method of authenticating a sign-in to Engage, but they're also the most vulnerable. People can choose weak passwords or use the same password for multiple logins to different computers and services.
Salentica uses a specific account to access your environment; this account is used by the services team to troubleshoot issues, upgrade your environment with the latest Salentica Solutions, and to implements new functionality requested by your firm. To secure this account with MFA, we provide you with the below options:
Option 1 (Preferred)
Salentica uses a password manager that has a built-in TOTP (Temporary One-Time Password) that generates a code for authentication. In order to set up this, you will need to use Microsoft Authenticator with the option “I want to use a different authenticator app.”
In order to use the Authentication App, the below conditions need to be considered:
-
We don’t have a phone number to be used for authentication.
-
We cannot install any App.
-
We cannot use a hardware fob – software fob to be reviewed by the Salentica team.
Option 2
MFA can be enabled by using the following email address:
