What is a Record?

In Salentica Engage, a Record is a complete unit of information. Think of it like a single row in a table, with multiple columns, also known as fields, to store the pieces of information that make up the entire row.

For example, above, we have a record for Relationships. We have columns for for Relationship Type, Family, Client Start Date, Client End Date, Net Worth, etc. Each time you add a new Relationship to the system, you’re creating a new record in the Salentica Engage database.

This is an example of how a record will display in Engage:

In this example, you see the Christopher & Amanda Adams Relationship record, with all the details, or fields, that are associated with this record.
